# Put the access decision in context.

See who is asking, what access they need and why. easyIGA brings the request and the result of configured midPoint policy checks into the same decision view.

## Understand the access before deciding

A manager can read the business reason and consider what the permission allows before approving or rejecting it. If midPoint reports a conflict with an existing role, easyIGA shows it before the decision.

The [SoD page](https://easyiga.com/product/sod-controls) explains that check and separates it from planned rule-authoring tools.

## A decision needs an accurate record

The record connects each request with its captured approval history. You can return to the decision later to understand who acted and when. Grants made outside easyIGA are identified separately, with the creation details available from midPoint.

Captured approval stages remain in order, with the recorded decision maker and time. This lets a later reviewer follow how a request was handled. Historical steps that were never captured are not filled in with a current manager or assignee.

## Follow the decision through

Once the decision is made, midPoint handles the configured access change. easyIGA keeps the outcome separate from the approval, so an unavailable application or a failed change still gets the attention it needs.

Read how the [audit record](https://easyiga.com/product/audit-evidence) connects the request, decision and outcome. We agree the approval channels and responsibilities for your deployment, including Microsoft Teams where it is part of the proposed workflow.
